Buyer protection at rareDepot

If an order arrives damaged, doesn't match its listing, or never shows up, open a dispute from the order page and our team will work it with you and the seller.

What's covered

What you can dispute

Lost in transit

If your order doesn't arrive within the estimated window, open a dispute and we'll investigate with the seller and carrier.

Damaged on arrival

Photograph the damage as soon as it arrives and open a dispute — resolution can be a return, replacement, or refund.

Not as described

Item arrives different from the listing photos or condition? Open a case from the order page.

Misrepresented items

Counterfeit or swapped items are grounds for a dispute, and sellers who misrepresent items are removed from the platform.

7-day dispute window

You have 7 days from delivery to inspect the item and open a dispute.

How to file a claim

  1. Open the order from My orders and tap “Report a problem”.
  2. Pick the category that fits — damaged, not as described, never arrived, etc.
  3. Add photos, a short description, and submit. The seller is asked to respond promptly.
  4. If the seller doesn't respond or you can't agree on a resolution, our trust & safety team takes over the case.

FAQ

How long do I have to report a problem?expand_more
7 days from the day the carrier marks your order delivered. After 7 days the order is considered closed.
Do I have to pay return shipping?expand_more
Return shipping is settled case-by-case as part of the dispute — when the seller is at fault, we push for the seller to cover it.
What if the seller insists everything is fine?expand_more
You can escalate to our trust & safety team at any point and they'll make the final call.
Can I get partial refunds?expand_more
Yes — for minor issues many disputes resolve with a partial refund and you keep the item. The choice is yours.
Are there any exclusions?expand_more
Coverage doesn't apply to buyer's remorse, items you damaged after delivery, or items shipped outside our supported regions.
